Apple Tree Preschool is licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and does not discriminate on the bases of race, color, religion, sex, national origin or family composition. The facility is inspected annually. The licence is posted on the bulletin board outside the Pre-K classroom.

Apple Tree Preschool is governed by an Executive Board consisting of the Preschool director, church members and the church pastor.

Philosophy:

Apple Tree Preschool offers an age appropriate program for the creative, emotional, social, cognitive and physical development of the preschool child. The program is planned to meet the needs and abilities of the individual child.
Opportunities are provided to develop the child's visual, auditory, large and small muscle motor shills by sharing experiences through formal and informal conversation/discussion. The daily activities help the child learn how to share ideas, thoughts, and material as well as learn self-discipline and personal responsibilities. Apple Tree Preschool seeks to stimulate creative and cognitive development through everyday exposure to a wide variety of art, play materials, and curriculum.

Curriculum:

Apple Tree Preschool curriculum is based on the Ohio Department of Education Early Leaning Development Standards for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The teachers implement these standards through theme-based units and student interests. Example themes might include units on animals, community, health & nutrition, transportation, plant life and much more. The lead teacher incorporates a character trait or virtue into the monthly curriculum and works hard to review and implement that trait within their daily routine.

Apple Tree Preschool has many fun activities in all curriculum areas for your child.

Classes Offered:
September - May
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
9:15AM - 12:15PM (3-year-old and Pre-K)
Optional shortened afternoon class added with enough interest - 12:45pm - 3:00pm

Each class maintains a teacher to child ration of 1 to 9. An assistant teacher spends time in each class daily lowering the ratio to 1 to 5.

Yearly tuition is $1665.00 which may be paid in full or broken down into 9 monthly installments of $185.00

To register your child: A $40 non-refundable registration fee and a copy of the child's birth certificate are required with the completed registration form.

Parent Communication:

A close relationship between home and preschool is important to enable the share of information as well as the experiences child is participating in. To help shape the relationship we incorporate the following:

Communication folders that are sent home daily.
Meet the Teacher Night for the parents and children before the start of preschool.
Family Open House early in the preschool year.
Monthly calendar given to parents where the teacher outlining the months activities.
Monthly newsletter for parents with general preschool information.
School App to relay information and share experiences.
An opportunity to receive the church's monthly newsletter that highlights the activities of the church.
Class bulletin and dry erase board in the hallway by your child's classroom to provide daily information and signup sheets.
Mid-Term Parent / Teacher conference.
Formal progress reports sent home four times during the school year.
Special celebrations during the year to which parents are invited.
Opportunities for parents with special hobbies, interests & occupations to share with us.
